My Dear we're slow dancing in a burning room |

She got a smile that seems to me reminds me of childhood memories
As Liz said, "i cant blame you for being stupid" :) Today, i was woken up by her phone call telling me to bring a bigger bag so she could put her books inside when i would meet her later on. I tried going back to sleep but my mind wouldnt let me. I got out of bed and greeted my cat with the usual chirps. Dad had gone cycling and mom wasnt home. I washed up then had a little cereal for breakfast.(which im getting quite sick of cos ive been eating it every morning for the past 15 days) I showered and changed up to meet her. I hadnt seen her in so long. Mom came home and noticed my unusual dreaminess and decided it be best to give me a lift to wherever i was headed. She dropped me off at the place and waited for awhile for Lynn to arrive. Out of the corner of my eye i noticed Lynn walking towards me, she was dressed in white and for a moment i thought she joined the PAP. Ok so that was really totally unnecessarily dramatic. Sorry, couldnt help it. So yea, we went to the basement of thiong bahro shopping mall to grab a quick bite and settled for some desert place. I cant quite remember the names of the food we ate cos they were all in chinese, but i do remember one of them having the word "mah" inside it. Thats the best i can do. Go me. Walked around abit after that then caught a bus to the fairfield funfair. But when we got there, it started raining. Pfft. I held my large hand over her head to do my best at preventing rain from drowning her, but it didnt really work. She thought of a better plan of using her piano books instead. Well, they sheltered her. Although the books were big, they werent that big. I was drenched. Whoopee. Trugged our way around the school trying to look for something good to do and to explore, and it was a real oven in there. Hundreds of people all crammed in the sheltered areas trying to stay dry, it really was uncomfortable. We got out onto the field to check out the stuff but didnt really see anything worth doing. So we tried to look for food around the place but to no luck. Navigation was also an issue cos of the rain. So we started asking random retards, i mean, people, where the food was. One girl just stared at us as if she only spoke vietnamese or something. Another one just totally gave us the wrong information. And we didnt bother asking anyone else thinking we would get the same amount of intelligence in their answers. But we finally found the food! Didnt really buy much cos we were quite full. So then the rain stopped, and we went back onto the field where they played music. We sang along and pranced around, me bursting into my usual random dance moves at random places. Bumped into Ervine and a few others on the field. Plus a couple of barker tennis guys here and there. Then she met her friend, Evann, who was a fairfielder and took us around the place as our guide. We went to some hall place where they were selling ketchup cos there was air conditioning in there and bumped into Syahir promoting his rowing sport. What a surprise. He had to leave for for theatre lessons though. After sitting around, talking, goofing around and the usual hoo haa, we decided to head to town for shopping. The carnival was alright, saw many things, guys, girls, guys who look like girls, and girls who look like guys. There was this one woman who had her hair tied up in a tight bun and i swear she looks like a man. The entire upper part of her body was thick and muscular, her biceps practically popped out of her sleeves, and she had a thin beard popping out of her face (which added to the man illusion). We bid Evann goodbye then headed for the bus stop to catch a bus to town. Notice how we've made a subconscious effort to not cab around to places? So at the bus stop, we were approached by this guy trying to sell us "fibre drinks". His story was that he was part of some corporate guy playing a game where they had to sell things to be able to get to certian places in singapore. Apparently they werent allowed to bring cash and could only afford to navigate around Singapore with the money they made selling things. He was dodgy looking and so were his products, normally i wouldve just walked away but this guy was just so persistent. Besides, Lynn was having a hell of a fun time conversing with this guy, so much so that he prolly suspected us to be police or something cos he started looking nervous after awhile. Lynn: How come you're only selling fibre drinks? The paper says somone else bought durian! I want durians! Sales dude: oh we've run out of them sorry. Lynn: so is this a game you're playing? Why must you play games? Is it fun? How many of you are playing? Sales dude: urrrrrm, yea there are 10 of us in tota- Lynn: So many? But this says you already sold to quite a few people what, you've got more than 10 dollars, you only need 1 dollar per person right? Sales dude: uhhhhhhhh Sigh, She can reduce even the hardest of men to nothing but bones and tears. So after that incident of terror was over, we got on the bus (which took forever) and went camera crazy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Got off the bus at far east and shopped. She was looking for a chiffon dress so we went hunting. Checked out this new shop on the second level, but left hurridly when she found out the dresses were over a hundred bucks. So we went to this shades shop where she bought lovely big shades and i bought shutter shades. I dont know why i did that cos i look like a dipshit when i where them. ![]() ![]() But its ok, maybe i'll save them for a party. Then we hunted around the entire place looking for stuff. Popped by cheeks so i could say hi Ravi, but decided to buy a couple new iron ons for my bag. ![]() Finally found an AC/DC and a Guns n roses patch. Did more shopping and she bought a dress which she decided to wear on the spot cos i kept trying to convince her that she looked stunning in the skirt. Pfft. She didnt believe me :( ah well. Bused home soon after 4. Due to some really stupid national day practice, the entire marina bay area was jammed. tsk. I was stuck there for 45 minutes. If theyre gonna do rehearsals why not do it in Zimbabwe or some place where it doesnt slow down Singapore's already very slow moving traffic. Surprisingly, mom and dad didnt say much about me coming home so late past my curfew. Dad noticed me taking out my shutter shades and said this. Dad: What are those? Me: Theyre shades, Dad. Dad: Can you even see through those things? I then let him try them on. Dad: hey these are quite cool, say, ive got a gold tournament tomorrow, i think i'll wear these. Me: WHAT?! Dad: Why not? They look quite cool right. Me: Cool? Where'd you learn to say that? Dad: MTV. Pfft greaaaaaaaat. My Dad watches MTV now. And he's gonna wear kanye wests' shutter shades to a golf tournament. Spectacular. Then, showered and changed and headed for dinner with my grandparents with my mom. I thought we might be able to eat in a nice restaurant, but my grandparents settled for the food court. I dont really enjoy eating there cos of this one particular cleaning lady who creeps the shit out of me. She looks like Gandalf the white and she constantly mumbles and grumbles under her breath to people who make brief eye contact with her. Anyways, we ate and then i headed to bossini to look at a couple t shirts. I took an XL off the shelf and decided to try it on for the heck of it and maybe to get a laugh at how stupid i'd look in it. But. I tried it on. And it fit. perfectly. :) It may not be a big deal for you skinny people, but for someone my size, being able to fit in an XL is like a pig being able to single handedly build an underground train system around Africa. So i bought 2 t shirts which look pretty cool. ![]() ![]() I couldnt help but take a picture in my new XL t shirts. Whoopee. Go me. Lynn left her piano books in my bag and forgot to take em back. clap clap. Sigh. Its been a long day and im in need of some relaxing time. Tomorrow, its studying. I promise. pfft. I'll be seeing you. ao |
